Is this Lens filter a good buy or cheap for my Canon HV40 camcorder?

The Tiffen UV filter isn't multi coated but it's more expensive. Is there a reason for that? I'm also thinking of buying a hood with a cap. My camera is 43mm. Any recomendations? Which UV filter should I buy and are those Zeiko circular polarized and flourescent lenses good? I don't want to spend too much for lenses. I DO want to keep my videos sharp and not distorted.
