The only good friend I had in school is moving away?

I'm a little reserved when it comes to being social, but I'm no introvert. I had one good friend who understood me very well, and respected me(somewhat) for who I am. She's moving away, and I'm afraid of being alone. I don't really like the other kids at my school much. Maybe I feel like I'm better than them(subconsciously), but I hate the way the majority of the kids act. They're loud, obnoxious, rude, and superficial. The one friend that I had was nothing like this and now she's leaving. What should I do? Change my personality to have more friends or face sitting alone at the lunch table in school? thanks, - allie .
