Laptop overheats, how to cool down?

I have an IBM laptop and its been overheating a lot more frequentely. I am not blocking any airvents or using a lot of cpu. it never used to overheat so frequentely. sometimes it's so hot, i can't touch the bottom of my laptop. sometimes i watch videos and it gets loud and hot. and sometimes i play games [restaurant city, ik im a nerd] and it also gets loud and hot. how can i cool it down preferably without needing to purchase something
